Hi, A buddy and myself are looking for a lease for the 2015 year. I'm somewhat new to hunting in TX and about to just sell my stuff and give up. Haven't been able to find a lease without breaking the bank. Just looking for somewhere two young guys can enjoy some hunting. I don't know how you guys afford some of these leases. I'm 28 and I have a hard enough time twising the wifes arm to agree to let me get a lease that is reasonable haha.

Where are you wanting to be?

You can find some affordable stuff in E. Texas, but the hard reality is that most of the better leases are going to cost significantly these days.

Until I was able to afford my own place, I learned the ropes by offering to take deer my buddy's with land didn't want to use their tags on but needed gone. Shot tons of does, spikes, and pigs until a wealthy friend let me pop a "cull" buck that was a huge 8 pt.

Where you located, I am in same boat.

I have 200 acres in Crowell close to Quanah.
Mostly wheat with a creek and great cover around creek.
Good wildlife use the creek and w heat on place.
Two guns 1000 each

We are located in the DFW area. Not afraid to travel a couple hours or so for a good place.
