Probably Red Brocket, Lesser Kudu, Somerrings Gazelle, and Takin.

Through the grapevine though I've heard of hartebeests, reedbuck, and orbi.

I've seen Grévy's zebra, an amelanosis color phase zebra, and puku. I've heard tales of lions and tigers available for hunt if your pockets are deep enough and your scruples are shallow.

I've seen pics of Grevys in texas. I also saw a Hartman's Mountain Zebra up at Greystone Castle.

Where did you see the Puku?

There is an axis on our place (HF) that has never been seen by a human in five years. Thanks to game cams we know he is still out there. grin

My guide a few years ago said some ranch had a breeding pair of giraffes. ...said they were over 100k!

I thought someone recently had a white lipped deer, that's gotta be right up there. Don't know if it was available to hunt though

I've hunted a private ranch that had a whole breeding herd of white lipped deer. Big suckers...did some research and he wanted nearly 60% off the price I've seen them at.

The lovely goodies you'll find when you pierce way into the grapevine. wink

What is a white lipped deer?

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

There were 8 animals in a trailer. Saw them in Eastland, TX August of 2012. They were being moved to avoid the fires in the area. Owner (or at least the guy driving the trailer) said they were coming from "over by the lake". Knowing the area being evacuated was west of town I assumed Cisco Lake but could have just as easily been PK.

We have a grevys we got from the yo. My buddy and I went to load it and the guy loading it forgot to shut the side door (yes we should have checked it and not taken his word, but drinks are free and we took advantage of that all day) when we were driving to dinner a guy came sprinting after us and slammed the door, said the zebra had one leg out. It's pretty rare that we still have it.

Yep, that was Henrietta. She made the national news when she escaped and was out on HWY 16.

Bontebok. I haven't seen to many of those in Texas. I know of one place that has some, Fossil Rim.
