My boss and I recently fell into some land up in Ivanhoe / bonham texas that lines some national grassland. There was a previous feeder that was set up but empty for about 6 months. We filled it up set up a game camera and caught 2 doe in the middle of the night feeding. We set up 2 other feeder on the property. We had hogs come to those two within the first week then all of a sudden, nothing... The other feeder has the 2 does come every once in awhile at night. We're trying to get rid of the hog situation anyone have any advice on what we should be doing to pull some more deer in? Scents to put down. There are a million to different thing sar the stores and online.

I know there was a couple of nice Bucks taken 2 years ago but the guy barely filled the feeder last year

What could we do to get a chance to get something this year. Or even next.

Patience, keep feeding and the deer will come.

I would suggest putting hog panels around your feeders to keep the hogs out.

Should I worry about to much corn on the ground?

Feed year-round. 'Doesn't have to be a lot, just consistent. They'll get a pattern going and you'll be surprised how much you see. Just be patient.

We currently have deer corn running on the feeder 2 times a day 3 days a week on one feeder, and the rest are daily. Would anyone recommend putting anything else out as far as scent or food?

Food plot would be my next thing on the agenda if I had that option, but other than that, I think 99% of that's "stuff" is better at taking your money.

Corn, keep traffic down place stands with wind in mind and let it ride.

How many acres BTW? Type of property? i.e. open wooded, a mix? Land set up can have more impact than anything they will sell you in the "stink" isle.

Hog panels around feeders in a circle. I would use 8-10 but the bigger the better.

Feed twice a day in the morning and evening every day.

Gravity fed protein feeder and then food plots.

It may take a while but the deer will find the feeders and will stick around if you can keep the hogs off of them.

It's about 200 acres with woods and clearings. It has 4 ponds and a creek that runs through. The back of the property is only separated by a road about 3 miles away to the red river. So I am assuming we can pull some deer from the wooded areas.

Sounds like a great place!, may want just 2 feeders going in the best spots

Yea we originally thought about just 2 feeders, the other guy that has hunted the property in the past had one set up already. But after looking at game trails and the lease on google maps we felt there were 2 better places to put feeders.

200 acres can certainly hold more than 2feeders. Put new feeders close to natural staging areas (some cover but open enough for deer to check each other out) next to the heaviest cover (bedding areas) with a clearing downwind with good access that doesn't require you to cross your bedding or staging areas to access.
