Looking for a new scope and have narrowed it down to meopta meopro 3.5-10x44 and leupold vx-3 3.5-10x40 . It will be going on my 243 which is my back up varmint and deer rifle. Which one to choose?

Hard to pass on the Meopro at 399.00

Well, just because most of my scope sre Leupold, I'd go for the VX3 with the Varmint Hunter reticle.

I've heard good things about Meopta, and I know I like my zeiss conquest and I think meopta made the conquest, or part of it or something. The cameraland meopta is a good price if you go that route.

That said, most of mine wear Leupold vx2 and vx3's. Light and very good hunting scopes IMO. The vx3 40 mm is about 1/4# lighter than a comparable meopta or conquest.
