But seriously... You should consider a couple guided duck or goose hunts. Make sure they have good references, and ask a lot of questions. A good guide will make it a learning experience for you

Welcome to the rewarding sport of waterfoul! Easiest way to ensure success is to get on the water 6 hours before sun up and leave your truck and trailer on the ramp to deter other hunters from pot licking your spot. Head out in a fast flat bottom and try and round up as many ducks as you can as they land on the water. They are easier to hit while on the water, but if you insist on wing shooting be aware they fly fast, so I emphasize a FAST boat to run them down. Don't be afraid to sling some lead either. You will probably want at least a 5 or 8 round shotgun. Better yet is to use an auto Saiga 12 gauge with a high capacity drum magazine. May want to take a pistol grip sawed off as a back up for when finishing off cripples. These critters are tough! They great thing about duck hunting is the variety. After you shoot all of your shells and filled your boat with ducks, sort thru the pile of blood and feathers and have everyone pick out their favorite 6 birds. Choose wisely, these are treasured memories and you only want to use the finest specimens for taxidermy! After the choice birds are pulled from the culls, dispose of the extra birds near your favorite catfishing hole. That's right, catfish chum, now we are multi tasking!
