I just moved here from Iowa. I was wondering what the deer population was like in Fannin and Grayson Counties.

Pretty good IF you can find a place to hunt.

How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Not too bad in west Grayson County.

Closer to the Red the more deer! Grayson has Hagerman...huge deer but you have to be drawn. Fannin has some nice deer as well...good luck finding a place if you don't have one.

Grayson is Archery Only for WTails...and finding a place to hunt can be difficult at best unless Ross Perot is your uncle.

welcome! Grayson County hunting is about as close as we have in Texas for the type of big deer hunting you have in Iowa. Tough to find good hunting land, though. Lots of competition.
