Nope but I've had problems with them not deploying properly on quartering shots. Did you shoot all of them or just one? Was there a practice head in the package?

I have only shot spitfires. I love them and have never had any major issues. Like passthru said the quarter away shot is interesting for the spitfires. Mine always do the trick but have had a few that only semi deploy, usually one blade doesn't open. but I love the penetration and flight of these for my setup!

Spitfires and other mechanicals have a habit at times on pass thru shots, of opening while going through the animal then springing back closed due to the drag through the animal when they exit the other side. That's just on pass thru's though.
I've used spitfires on several animals over the years and they've always performed for me.

oh ok, you may also check the screw that attaches the blade to the head and make sure that it is not cranked down too tight

Look at the entrance of the target to check if it opened. Those broadheads once the target stops the arrow shaft will cause the broadhead to close back up appearing to have never opened.

I have tried a few different broadheads but always go back to spitfire. Never had an issue and can't say the same for some of the other heads. Looks like you have the other part figured out

I don't shoot them anymore bc I kept breaking blades shooting into a block target. It got really old having to buy the replacement blades and changing them out.
Switched to the rage hypo but haven't shot anything with them yet.

Shot 100gr spitfires for the past 10+ years and killed ALOT of animals with them without a single problem. Bought a new much faster bow this year so trying the 100gr viper tricks out!
Good luck this year!!
Take Care, Bub
