I have an old Leupold gold ring spotting scope and time for a new one - I use it to hunt deer in south texas - who has suggestions for a mid priced scope? I dont want the top end but also not a cheapo - will shell out $500-$1000 thanks

Buy a used Leica, Swarovski, or Zeiss. This, unless you hunt long range and will need target Turrents then go with vortex.
