Wondering what the small seed is in this picture. I think the larger is oat or wheat seed.
Dove was shot in Mills Co if it helps. Found a little milo seed and some whole corn in a couple of birds

Thanks

If it's being used to bait doves it's illegal seed.

Edit: Just reread your post and learned you found it in a dove. Most likely millet or possibly goosegrass.

Looks like it could be millet, but not positive.

Would have to get a closer look to really tell...but it doesn't look like millet to me. If I was guessing, it's a wild grass, maybe johnson grass seeds.

thank you....
To small for millet.... the bigger seed is either oat or wheat. To small for Johnson grass or goose grass. Out of 40 birds shot, almost all were full of the smaller seed

Looked up dove weed, I haven't seen it on the lease. We have lots of Erysingnum and another plant that is dark green with small yellow flowers... don't know the name.

Wild sunflower? Lots of that near Waco where I hunted opening day. All the birds were full of it. Looked just like that.
