Does a non-hunter on the dove field need a license? I would think not.

Would it be like fishing? As long as there's not an extra gun sitting there that they could use, is it ok?

I apologize if this is a dumb question. This is only my second season hunting dove, and that's all I've hunted so far.

no. there better not be an extra gun laying around though. my wife goes with me and she doesn't hunt and we have never had trouble with the game warden.

No, unless you are hunting on Type 2 land.

There is no law about how many guns you can take to the field. On opening day I often take more than one gun in case of malfunction since I may not remember when the last time I shot or cleaned it was.

Ok. Thanks.

We don't have extra guns laying around. I was just thinking about how they can get you with extra fishing poles laying around and a non-fisher being there. I usually have AT LEAST 3 or 4 poles with me. haha.

No they don't need a license. You can also have extra guns if you want. GW might question you about it but there is nothing illegal about have more than 1 gun. My wife goes and sits with me sometimes.

I had a GW doing a lot of questioning to us one time one my boat because 1 person on the boat didn't have a fishing license and he was only there to hang out and drink beer. My friend didn't care to fish so no need for him to spend money on a license. The GW said it looked suspicious because I had extra rods on the deck. I told him I had about 15 more rods in the rod box and there was no laws says I can't have extra rods in my boat. He let us go because we did nothing wrong. I think he was just bored. He was very polite and so were we.
