Hey guys I could sure use your help. Does anyone have any ideas of where I can find a year round hunting lease in east Texas? I am looking for 200-600 acres that I can lease for a family year round property. The thicker and rougher the better. I am not looking to join an existing lease. I already have my guys that my son and I are used to hunting with.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kirk

Like rifleman just listed- Campbell has 12 or 13 different tracts in different east Texas counties up for bid right now for lease. I have been leasing from them for years. As long as you don't break the law or do anything to piss them off you can probably have it for as long as you want it once you secure a tract from them.

How's the hunting usually from them? Never heard of em. Seems like very good prices.

It can be. Last year on one of them we had three nice bucks killed and I passed on a nice 10 point with a kicker on the base of his right side G3 because I couldn't age him past 2-1/2, so he got a pass.

Depends on the tract and how many people were previously piled on them and how big the neighbors are. We acquired one a while back when it went up for sale that had been shot down to nothing as far as resident deer. Ran cams all year and came up with a cpl doe groups and either 4-5bucks with only 1 not being a yearling. It's sat idle since Spring 2010 and now there should be a NT that's over 150, a cpl 10s in the 140s and a handful of 8s between 115-130...so even if they aren't perfect at first, you can get them there and make it a good deal.
