$10/acre is not unheard of in East Texas now. When I got my lease we paid $1 per acre and now we're up to about $7/acre but most places are more lately.

Private property is probably about $10/acre. Timber company land can be much less. I am paying around $7.25 (I can't remember off the top of my head) for timber company land.

Hey Mikeydon where about did you find a place at in wood county? I have been hunting on a lease there for about 8 years now. We are on a timber companies lease and we pay about $4 an acre. I have been on other east texas leases that were much higher. Close to $10 an acre on others. I love hunting wood county. It just feels like home. Grew up in the area and always come back lol...

Always enjoyed hunting in Wood county. Grew up hunting with my grandfather and his crew just outside of Hainesville. Great memories
