Some vet needs to cut off some of that and biopsy it! Looks like his neck has a kink in it too...

Depression, no doubt. Our neighbors HAD one that looked similar, well over 300". He got where he couldn't hold his head up so they sawed 'em off. The deer died later from heat related stress. We don't have that problem on our side of the fence.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

I have a buddy whose in-laws bought one of Goliath's progeny or just his seed, don't remember which for sure but I think they bought the deer itself, and I'm sure Goliath's owners sold plenty of them. Six years of his sheds on the wall, they don't have as many points as Goliath, but do have a ton of mass and a similar look. The Goliath Jr they have was kept in a pen for six years and set "free" in the high fence this spring. I don't know if he peaked at 5.5 or if the first set of his sheds they have is from a 2.5 year old buck. They kept track of which does threw the best bucks after breeding him to Jr and tagged all of his progeny. The last year in the pen they bred him to the thirty best does they had. Supposedly "yellow 27" a 5.5 year old son is better than their Goliath Jr. I have seen him running at 75-100 yards, he is super huge, I thought he was their Goliath Jr. He looks much different from Goliath, but very similar to Goliath Jr on this particular ranch. He would be a grandson of the Goliath in this thread and the genes are definitely still strong. There could be some even better bucks coming up one day. Who knows.
As cool as it is selectively breeding deer and having them on special feed, I would be much more proud of a 140 class deer on low fence. Every deer on that place is super huge and you can't take ten steps without scaring one up. Not saying that ranch isn't fun on its own right, cause it is, just saying it ain't exactly real hunting. I'll probably never get to hunt deer there, and that's okay with me. I feel lucky and am happy to catch bass outta the tank, shoot dove, and swim their pool.
