That's kind of what I was thinking. This is a free range ranch and it's the first buck I've seen at my feeder in 3 years.

Looks to be 3 years old to me. I don't wait that long to shoot one. Yearlings and two year old Axis is what I hunt mainly because I can still load them by myself at that age. And like was said before if they are free range you better take them when you cam because you may never see them again.

he looks young, and i agree with the others.

if you never see them, then i would think about shooting for the meat, but if he was with a doe, i would shoot the doe instead.

on my place, he would walk for 2 more years. but we are high fenced and attempt to manage our axis bucks
