I had 13 hunters out this morning with 13 limits they were hunting 1 of my sunflower fields. PM me you want some really fast action. Next 2 weekends are booked but I'm going to hunt some days during the week

I'm still in Coleman. Hunting has been great. Limited again this morning. Just woke from my nap at best western to find Aliens on AMC. They just lost contact with the colony on LG-426. Classic.

Saw a good covey of quail at the corner of 153 and 2132.

Watch your six at that Best Western. We came out last year for our morning hunt and saw a guy in the parking lot - didn't pay much attention figured just another crazy dove hunter getting ready to go. Loading up and this time he's at a different car. He's casing all the cars in the parking lot, oblivious to us being there. I went around to the back of the SUV to load something and he's stops in front of our open hotel room door and just stares inside the room. My stepdad was inside. Then the guy disappears around the corner to the apartments in the back. Meth...

Managed to limit Mon/Tues at Bentman's in spite of myself.

Day 1- Had put the gas block back together wrong on the Beretta Urika 2 12g - that's never happened! It didn't go bang. Wasn't sure in the moment what was wrong and didn't have the valve wrenches anyway. Had a citori 20g for backup. Pretty late start between gun issues and relocating in the field. Never even set up any mojos - didn't need to.

Day 2- Set up the mojos. Think I set it up too close to me- attack! Actually shot better on Monday when they were just flying by in a straight line! Finished the last box of 20g from Oshman's. (Need to get by there or TG&Y for some more...) Brother in law left his 12g Beretta White Onyx O/U. Problem is that gun wasn't resetting for the second barrel. What are the odds?? That is by far the nicest single shot I've ever used! All this must have messed with my psyche. Worst I've shot in a long time but so many birds it didn't matter.

I went to Coleman County and hunted opening morning just north of Santa Anna . 19 hunters and we all limited out and were back at our trucks having a cold one by 9:30. Excellent hunt as always in Coleman County!!!!

And watch out for them bedbugs at coleman motels.

We got blasted by the rain Sat afternoon but my place really needed it so no complaints for me if you are looking for a hotel in the Coleman are stay at the ranger hotel in Santa Anna clean and cheap
