I have not dove hunted since moving to TX 3 years ago cause im usually training my dog for quail. Was thinking of going this now that she is steady on upland birds and retrieving well. Looking at the season dates, it appears that in Cameron County (special white wing area) the season does not start until the 6th. Am i reading this correct?

Looks like to me it says Sep 6-7 and sep 13-14 are the only days you can hunt unless I'm reading it wrong. Not sure if that only pertains to white wings or white wing and eurasians. Hope you get it figured out.

You're also only allowed 2 mourning dove so make sure you're shooting whitewings

Where in the regulations does it say afternoon only?

Jeez. Thanks. That could have been expensive. First year on a Starr County lease.
