Stumbled across these at my parents' house. Am I correct in assuming that this is copper plated lead?

This was all the rage in the early 80's. They tried to say that it was better than plain lead with more knock down power. Let's just say I wasn't a "believer" after going through a box.

Best use of copper or nickel plated lead is in high velocity handloads. The plating helps minimize pellet deformation and cuts down on flyers in the pattern. Not much of a difference but it's an advantage nonetheless
