I hate making sheaths so I decided to start doing something different so I did this to my own personal knife and give my sheaths a different look. This opens up a whole new perspective on tooling as well. Getting back to basics, eventually I want to get away from the snap as well.

What do you think? You're not going to hurt my feelings; I'm Polish. laugh
Sorry about the monster picture; I forgot to chrink it.

I like the shape and the tooling design, but I have never been a fan of the lace on leatherwork.

Brother; I've just never been a fan of leather work. Good lawd I must have made 2500 to 3000 knives the last twenty years. The way I look at it is I sell knives the sheaths are free. confused2

I refuse to use Kydex; I never have like them.

As a buyer, I would want a sheath that is worthy of the knife. To me they are one and the same, both representative of the maker.

Here is a link to some pricking chisels. http://www.goodsjapan.jp/category?top_searchString=pricking+irons&searchString=pricking+irons
They make the hand stitching a lot easier, not as professional as using an awl, but I never had any complaints. A simpler method is the nipping lacing pliers from Tandy, once you have the 2 sides glued together and your grooves cut and marked with the wheel it is easy to stitch sew leather. A hint is to file down the cutters so they are a little smaller so the hole doesn't show, and it looks hand stitched using an awl.

Thank you sir; I think on the certain knife they are going to be fine. I do try to make them look appealing. Nothing like Miss Erika does, she makes some awesome sheaths.
