Would you take this 8 point if he was still around during season? Any guesses on width?

One thing I learned many years ago is to not let someone else's opinion of what I kill enter into my decision. If I like the deer I killed him. I will tell you if you like him, kill him and don't worry about what someone else thinks up

15.5", would likely not shoot unless I knew he was 5.5 or older.

4-5 yo, 15.5"-16" inside spread, I'd take him. His genes look to be high, tall rack so probably not going to get much wider...Nice buck

The rule on our place is that if you would be proud of him and plan on putting him on the wall, shoot. If not, don't. On that deer, I would be spending the money. Looks to be a full mature buck that probably is as good as he will be.

Thank you all for the replies. Don't get me wrong, there is no way I could pass this guy up sitting in my bow stand. He is 6.5 this season and obviously very smart to still be alive. cheers
