Saw both the #1and #2 record book Altai Argali rams at a guys shop in Jackson Hole today. MASSIVE Mongolian sheep that make a bighorn ram look puny. What was interesting is that the guy was willing to sell one of his mounts to finance another trip. But look at the price  That might be a world record as well.

So the same guy shot the #1 and #2?
I'd sale the #2 as well if I could get enough to pay for another 4 or so hunts. I would like to see a bighorn mounted next to one of those for a size comparison.

I believe that at one time all Agralai sheep were referred to as Marco Polo sheep. Today it properly applies only to the Ovis ammon polii subspecies. The Altai O. ammon ammon is bigger.

That is a big boy, do you find them in Mongolia?
