We had sitting water in the battery tray of our feeder unit, ruined that battery and not sure how many weeks of lost not throwing corn.

How the heck did the water get in? Its a moultrie pro, the cover was tight. Anybody had one get that wet? Pretty much water would have to be getting in thru the shaft area, right?

New fish, looking for advice.

Never had that happen before. Drill a small hole in the cover so it doesn't happen again.

I had same thing happen (& continue to happen) with Moultrie feeder. I tried all kinds of ways to block water coming in apparently closed seems/holes, but still damp. The only thing I can figure is coming in shaft area (not sure how) or possibly condensation? In any case, plan on drilling a drain in bottom as one last try - replaced the controller few times because of this.

If you have a solar charger perhaps water is getting in where the wires from the solar panel go into the control box.

Not familiar with that feeder set up, however a watertight container will accumulate condensation. I have a ammo box that I keep an exterior battery in for one of my game cameras. I have to check it 2-3 times a year depending on the weather. I am not saying this is your problem but the same thing will clog up a feeder when sealed tightly, thats why lots of folks like the galvanized lids.
