Haven't heard too much about Buck Candy this year. Website is still up, so I am assuming they are still selling it? Anybody plan on using using it this year as a corn additive? Last year was the first time on a new lease that we used it so I am not for sure if they were coming to it or just plain corn. Anybody use another corn additive that they have had good results with?

There is an old saying about A Fool and His Money, I think it applies to anyone who falls for these gimmicks.

Stuff like that is made to sell... I (we) even tried soy beans and they smell like peanut butter, but were left on the ground and all the corn was gone.

I have also tried commre deer, peanut butter, pancake syrup, molasses, and pears
and probably a few other things and deer walk past them to get to corn.

One thing I CAN say works is mistletoe... why do you think there is none close to the ground??? The EAT THAT STUFF UP !!!

interesting ... all the deer would pass up corn for near spoiled pears we tossed out. Wouldn't even touch the corn till all the pears are gone. I've thought about collecting acorns from all my live oak trees around the house and putting in my spin feeders ... LOL

Put the acorns on the ground in your feeder area.

Just ordered a 4 lb container last week. I believe it works, and works well. Far better than any other "attractant" I have ever used. I mix it with corn in my feeder(s), and also put a little out on the ground with some hand thrown corn. I especially like to use it when I am specifically hunting for slick-heads. I have a buddy who has hunted Mexico every year for several years, on the same lease. He claims the deer there will sprint to it when he puts it out.

last year i hunted in east Texas Shelby county. my kids school has a huge oak tree in front parking lot with acorns everywhere. we sweept up the whole area an put it in bages. once we got home we figured out if you put them in a tub of water. the empty ones float and undisterbed nuts didnt. so we rebaged them up. and i put them in a gravity feeder once i was done i had a 50lb bag. broadcasted some out in general area set game cams. an next weekend i had so much action. the does actually bedded in area. so this year ill do the same. one thing ill try is acorn rage in feeder so ill have the edge over other hunters.
native foods seem to work best for me. iv tried alot of the attractants.
