Any breeders in Houston Katy area? anyone have experiance with Springers? can they be both inside and dove hunters as well?
recently i put my house for sale and sold my 2 labs. My never was able to have them inside the house since she woulld get allergeies with them. I was told springers are hypoallergenic. Any suggestions? Dove season is around the corner and i miss my labs.

Try Strong Dog kennels south of Victoria. You can google them.

Where do I start? Have a 2yr old English springer spaniel. He is an inside dog.g. Great bird dog. Also wonderful family dog. You might hear. This a lot, they listen better out in the fields than at home. Very lovable dog. Could go on and on. Please pm me with any question .

I don't know that I would call them hypoallergenic from my experience with one. But he deff did better outside but did come in te house to sleep at night.

Not sure about hypoallergenic. I have a springer and it's hands down the best dog I've ever owned. He is an inside dog but we spend a lot of time outdoors and playing outside. He is a top of the line flusher and retriever. Loves to get out in the woods but sleeps in the bed at night.

They will shed less than a lab, maybe that's what you heard? When I think hypoallergenic I think poodles because they don't shed.

Thank you for all the info. Yea since the shed less That's what I heard helped with less dander. What's weird is that a yorky won't effect her but a chihuahua will.

Strong doesn't have any pups I'll try Rachel

Thanks again I'll keep u all posted

I had a springer years ago and took him to the groomer or clipped him myself, kept him bathed, very little shedding, i have to labs and man it looks like a barber shop the next day after cleaning up.
Have you looked in to a LaborDoodle. seen one at the Snake avoidance clinic at Drakes in Spring today very smart dog.
Thats my 2 cents

Got lucky on my springer. Watched him for 5 months in the paper. Paid 250. Papers and all. I. Can even breed him if I want. Cannot go wrong with one. Most lobveable dog. Good luck.
