Thank you Lord for allowing me to come back home to be with my family. Thanks to those of you who sent prayers and good wishes, it seems to have helped. Tomorrow will be two months to the day that I was admitted to the hospital with both cardiac and respiratory failure. I'm on a lot of meds, a nebulizer, another machine I have to wear at night while sleeping that breathes for me. I also have an accumulator that draws and stores oxygen from the ambient room air and expels CO2. It's also used to refill the portable smaller cylinders that I can carry when away from home. I have to use oxy 24/7 and it's for the forseeable future, unfortunately.
During my two month stay, my wife Carol ... no my very best friend Carol ... made the 88 mile round trip to see me every day, sometimes twice. She is my lifeline from here on out. My only regret having survived this ordeal is what I'll be putting Carol through as my 24/7/365 caregiver. It grieves me to know what a burden I have become. I missed Grammie Jean a lot and Carol has to take care of her as well. Her health is in decline too.
The pups were almost as happy to see me as I was them. We took a few videos of the homecoming but are having down load problems. Maybe later we'll figure it out. Thanks again to all of you who did offer prayers and good thoughts. I'm having trouble posting pics ... maybe afew of the pups with me later.
