Anybody use Python cable locks for mounting cameras to trees? How do you do you like it?
CHecked cameras the other day, and one strap is almost worn through, and the other one had been chewed on by a cow, and the camera was on the ground--still working, but...

I take a piece of 2"x4" welded wire and build a semi-round cover to go over the entire TC in West Texas since we have same problem with cows. I cut out a small window so the lens and sensor are not blocked. When I cut the wires I fold them out so those pointed ends stick outward making more protection. I make the cage large enough so a cow can not lick the camera. If you do not do something like this a cow will still lick the lens and cover it with saliva and dirt making all the pics blurry.

I use them on all my cameras and lock boxes and they work great. I knew how many I need and ordered all of them with same key from Amazon. Just keep in mind the size tree you will be locking to. The 6 foot cable won't reach around larger trees. I use lock box bolted to tree when that happens.

JHUNT, I'm going to get the 'keyed-the-same" option also. Did you use the 5/16 size cable?
Thanks
