With last seasons blacktail mount almost finished, I needed to get the pedestal built quickly. Was wanting something that would go with the furniture in the front room, because that is where my better half wants this mount. She likes the buck so much, she doesn't want it hiding with the rest of the mounts in the man cave. We decided to build a pedestal with a rustic look. I cut a small piece of granite for the top of the pedestal that would match the tabletops in the front room. Can't wait to get the buck on it.

PS.....The vase on top is a great decorative piece

Thanks guys! up Can't wait to get the buck home and sitting on the pedestal. I think I'm more excited than a kid the night before Christmas morning.

When I get back from vacation I'm going to build a cedar pedestal for the mule deer. It'll have a solid wood top, single glass door to see a display inside the pedestal and a small recessed light to brighten the display. I'll post pics with the finished project
