Can anyone recommend a good backpack for elk hunting. This would be used to carry all my gear plus hopefully help pack out an elk.

exo mountain gear, kuiu ultra pro

Those would be my top two choices for anything over a daypack. Both have options to change bags size

I am using a Eberlestock J107 w/ super spike duffel (just over 7900ci); Ive been doing training hikes with it using 50+lbs with ease. Once you get the harness and stays adjusted to your body, it'll fit like a glove.

I bought this particular pack as I am going a DIY Elk hunt and will be out for 5+ days without heading back to the truck. When I do get the elk, It has a big enough compartment to get a 1/4 in it for packing out.

They don't put the word "eat" in "meat" for nothin you hippie

I use a Badlands 2200 as my daypack/first load out and a Kelty Cache Hauler to carry out quarters.

If I am carrying a spotting scope I take my Badlands 2200, if not, I take my Badlands Super Day pack. Both are great packs with plenty of room.
