He is a lot bigger today than in 2012. But no bad for a 3 yr old peep hammer He is mature and time to make room for the better younger bucks. rifle up

A lot bigger from 2012-2013, not much difference between 2013+2014. Lets see, your feeding them protein right? There was good range conditions during the growing season, right? Seems like to me the sun, moon and the stars aligned for antler growth, if true, that might be pretty much he has to offer confused2

If I did not have a better prospect and thought he was at least 4.5, then take him and enjoy the hunt cheers

I'm gonna have to disagree. Unless you're sure he's past 5.5yrs, I'd give him more time. A lot of unique points can pop up on a 5.5-6.5yr old buck that's on protein, and with 12 points there's more places for funky stuff to happen. Just my 2 cents

IMO: That deer aint ready. He's just coming to prime. His body is thick, but his back isnt dropped and his nose is still plenty long. Give him 2 more years.

I would flatten that wide 8 point (far right) in the last photo.

IMO he is 4 in the last pic and was an absolute stud of a 2 year old in 2012. May not have mass or height but got points and that is a good gene to keep in the gene pool for another year. I would give him a pass if it were me and bust that stud 10 next to him in last pic that appears to be 5 plus. Looks like he may be sprouting some stickers on his right G2 and G3 but I can't zoom in here at work. But in the end take him if you want cause you got some nice bucks to take in his share of the groceries.

I was looking at the 8 too, think I'd have to go that route before the 12.

I would take the ten and leave him alone another year.

I think once he sheds his velvet your going to find he is no bigger than last year. Being he has been on protien and had good range conditions he should have gained considerably more horn than he did, even as a 4 yr old. I think what you see is what your going to get.
