Hey, I like to keep my decoys in slotted bags in the hope that it will last longer. Most slotted bags are far - far - too big for a single teal. I have found two places on the East coast that make custom bags specifically for teal. One is stupid expensive, and the other is marginally expensive... the shipping sucks on both.
So, my question - do any of you know anyone in TX or surrounding states that makes slotted bags specifically for teal sized decoys?

No I don't know of anyone. I am probably the most anal retentive person in the world when it comes to decoys. However I have met my match when I hear of someone useing slotted bags for teal decoys.

There just GHG Pro-grades. A 6 pack costs the same as most bags go figure.

I will - definitely - buy or make individual, soft fleece bags for these mates, though. Then the soft fleece bags go inside a second canvas bag... Coming my way next week

Heck knowing me I will probably wrap the soft fleece bags in a soft towel or blanket before it goes in the cotton bag... super protection... all so my hunting buddy can (hopefully not) blow them to pieces on opening morning

We may have been separated at birth.
I've been known to wrap mine up in towels and put them in a regular slotted bags (even other types of bags that you normally wouldn't use for hunting). You can even double them up if needed.
I'm not positive on the bag makers you have looked into but beware that there are some that the products are awesome IF you get them.

Hey Dave, thanks. I've seen that one. $75 bucks plus shipping for a 12 slot decoy bag... yikes.
Might have to pay to play or make my own...

wedge a piece of Styrofoam diagonally in each slot to keep the deks off each other then put two in each slot

My GHG teal decoys litterally cost less than $5 a piece. Slot bagging seems a bit excessive.

I will - definitely - buy or make individual, soft fleece bags for these mates, though. Then the soft fleece bags go inside a second canvas bag... Coming my way next week These fine pieces of art should be hunted over AND should be carried in slotted bags. The plastic teal decoyus makes no sense to me to be carrying them in a bag. However, one man's idea of what he wants is no business of mine. Soooo carry on!

Yeah, buy the custom bags, especially if your gonna be getting into wooden deeks. However, I do caution against using fleece for those hillman woodies. I've had some deeks put in fleece bags before, cold weather, especially freezing equals no good. The decoys are wet, you put them in the fleece , the fleece freezes to the decoy. And you may as well have just put sandpaper in there with them.
I'd personally buy nylon bags with drawstrings for those, similar to a "shoe backpack" I know you've seen em. The nylon doesn't have the abrasiveness when frozen!
Skin that one pilgrim...I'll get you another one.
