Can you recommend a good guide for some rookie duck hunters within a couple hours drive from DFW? Thanks.

Dan Mikals with Four Curl Nation and Andrew Shelley with Bullzeye Outfitters run top notch operations.

Try to do some of your own research though, as this topic mainly becomes a popularity contest. Go look at different websites or Facebook pages or even call the guides and have a short talk with them to help ease your decision

Good luck

You can learn a lot about an operation or just a man in general by talking to him!

Andrew is DuksRus not bullzeye.

But you can't go wrong with Elder if he's not already booked, or Andrew with duksrus or Glass at Redlegg.

Every duck hunter needs to hunt with Elder at least once though.

Swamp Nasty Outfitters located in Bonham, Texas 1 hour north of DFW. Brent took us out and put our group on some ducks!

Well I'd definitely go with Elder then, he run his own deal with no buddy [censored] or changes in ownership

You won't go wrong with Andrew. Top notch and plenty of birds. I appreciate the free publicity but I'm sorry, I won't be able to help you if you are wanting to hunt 2 or more hrs from DFW as most of my ponds are only 20-30 miles away from downtown FW. But, if you don't mind the extra hour or so of sleep, feel free to give me a shout and I would be glad to talk. Or go to www.fourcurlnation.com and email me thru there (after looking at the pics from last season of course.)

I've been out with Brian Glass and Dan Mikals, both are good guys and the hunts were fun.

I cannot vouch for the duck hunting but I can for the deer. Band of Brothers took me and a buddy for 700.00 each. He put us in a blind before daylight, left the property and around 1100 after seeing nothing at all I took a walk. Not one single track on this property, old or new. We were in the middle of a very large cotton pasture with less than a acre of wooded area. When I confronted him on this he refused to give even partial payment refund. 1400.00 wasted sitting in several hundred acres of cotton. Stay away from Haskell County/Hunt Tx.

Thanks Trent!

It was GREAT to have ya'll come and hunt with us this last year!

We really enjoyed watching Ole' Maverick hunt one of his last hunts before he passed away.

He surely was a GREAT hunting Partner!

J.J.

RIP Maverick:

Kent Outdoors runs a very professional and CONSISTENT operation. I recommend all our clients to JJ. Great properties to hunt and very competent guides. Never had an unhappy client with JJ.
