A bit of a shout-out to Food Saver.
I smashed my foam seal when I closed the lid. When I went to use it again it looked like pretzel with leprosy.
I call up to get a new seal ($3) and explained that I smash the old one.
They said that they were out of seals, but would send me an entire new vacuum unit.
I said I was happy to wait, but they insisted that I should get a whole new machine, even tho it was my fault. And they would sent a pick-up tag to pay the freight to return the old unit.
Well I got my new unit with a lot of goodies.
I probably don't need it all but they sure were prompt and generous.

1- vacuum unit
2- bundles of pre-made bags
2- rolls of bags
1- carry case
1- marinating canister

Glad to hear they now have customer service. When, mine stopped working and not my fault. The said they do not repair them, but they would give me a discount on a new one. Lol

I decided then and there, I would never buy another one from them.

The better half just ordered a new one yesterday from Sears. The old one is 15++ years old and has done yeoman's duty on couple thousand pounds of stripers alone since we've been up here plus venison/ beef steaks & 'burger/ and a ranch full of chicken..and is NOT DEAD yet but beginning to fail. She wants a Stand up model that does 11" bags ...so she bought a Closeout with free shipping and saved 40-50% against this years model in the same machine...for about $85-$90. What a deal and cetainly indispensable.
