Here is a big dorset ram i killed over the weekend here in central California. Horns were 41.5" and 43.5" each. Shot this one out here for $950. Pretty cool ram. Any of you guys kill some out there in texas?

Nice curls! What is the story?

as mature as he is, he looks to be too small bodied for a merino ram. I've shot a few merino rams and they're big animals

i hunted at this place - www.bitterwateroutfitters.com

its in the high fence area- no exotic sheeps or goats are free range here in cali, unlike in texas. it was actually a real easy hunt, this ram barely could see at all with that big curl in front of his eyes. we basically drove right up to him at 100 yards, he was in a group of about 20 other smaller assorted rams. all his buddies ran off, but i don't even think he saw us and just stood there. i shot him with the 375 h&h win mag and it just dropped his [censored]. they have only had a few other assorted rams and i did kill a bigger one in the same area with another high fence outfitter, and this ram had 45 inch horns i believe, he was a bit bigger but definitely had the same genetics. i will try to upload a pic.
