Stexasranchman I do have a deer that will fit your needs. I'm guessing 5 1/2 and 110 on the dot. C'mon down..

I would score him at 150+/- for this season and put him at the 4 year old age. He is still in velvet and has not bulked up yet so it is a bit difficult to say for sure. He didn't gain a whole lot of tine length from last season, but he did gross some mass and muscle tone. Nice buck. If you are lucky enough to hold him, let us know what he did score.

I have one of those you can come shoot. Haha

I know of one you have that has 19-20 points that won't score 125 that I will come shoot bolt

He will probably get run over by oilfield truck about September 20.

I guessed a score of 138 more or less when you first posted pics of him. He looks to still have lots of growth left.

Hell be pushing 140 IMO. Itll depend on if his tines shoot up anymore. He's lacking tine length now. Beautiful buck. Other buck is older.

The pics from this year make me want to say 4, but that pic from '13 looks like a 2 year old all day to me.

Shot a somewhat similar 12 a couple years ago that scored 142. I think your in the right neighborhood score wise.

You're used to seeing bigger bodies then. No way that deer makes 150".

Just my opinion, that's all. A buck with 4" G1's, 10" G2's, 10 " G3's, 4" G4's, average MASS, 16-17" spread will score 150". I believe this buck will measure up. I hope he gets that buck next year, although I think this buck has reached his potential, he will still score high 150's in the 2015 season.

You are not used to Texas size deer. For that deer to have 10" 2's and 3's he would have to have 10" ears. Most Texas deer ears will range from 5"-8" depending on what area of the state that deer is standing in. Live weights on mature bucks can range from 100 lbs up to 250 lbs depending on the region. With a 92" frame he would have to 58" to tines to get to 150. He won't have that tine length this year. As far as potential he could be his best at 6 or 7 yrs old depending on rainfall and other factors. 2cents

Nice buck. I came up with same score as O.P. Appears to be 4.5 y.o. this year.

RG1 3
RG2 9
RG3 9.5
RG4 7
RG5 1
LG1 4
LG2 9
LG3 9.5
LG4 7
Spread 16.5
Mass total 29
Beam total 38
I think he may end up in the mid/upper 130s once out of velvet...as Navasot said.

Your score adds to 142.5 inches, so you and I are within 7.5 inches of the same score. I put +/-, but I must be way off on my score of 150". Everyone else must be right, I cant be right, I am from VT.

I think sub-140, but just barely. However, he might be upper 130s.

I think yall giving him a little too much credit. skinny deer not a lot of mass on those antlers. not trying to burst bubbles but no way that deer has 29" mass or 16.5 inside spread. Hell be right at 130 after he finishes growing and sheds velvet

Don't worry about bursting bubbles I asked for opinions wink I believe some deer are way harder to judge than others where some people might can judge one deer better than others can and every specific deer is different. I don't care who you are someone is gonna mis age and be off score by a drastic amount some time or another. And I could be way off on this deer. All I know is we are letting him go to see what is in store for the future. Once again thanks for everyone's post. I will be updating pics throughout velvet stages to see the growth and get the opinions on this deer. Will be a fun ride. And more bruisers to come.

He doesn't have that blocky look of a really old deer and from the hard antler photo from 2013 (straight back no pot belly, shoulders not massive and the face looks tight) I'd guess 3 1/2 in 2013 and 4 1/2 this year. He looks like he has not peaked. If this was a high fence or an area I could completely control I'd say he is going to grow bigger and I'd let him grow. If it's low fence/free range he'd be hard to pass up. Pretty Deer
