Alright guys I was browsing google looking for recipes for a good pork rub and a good brine for wild pork.
I have 2 small pigs that I'm looking to throw on the smoker on Sunday. They are about 20lbs each with no skin. I am looking for some ideas of how to brine them and what kinda dry or wet rub to use.
Also should I wrap the pigs in banana leaves or tinfoil seeing as they are very small and have no skin on them.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Any good store bought rub will do, I like Famous Dave's. With a skinned youngster like that really no need to brine or do anything other than rub. Slow smoke at 250 for 3-4 hours. Wrap in wet oil towels and wrap in foil. Finish on smoker again at 250 for 4-6 hours or in an oven. Key is low and slow. The rub will suck in to the meat during the smoke process. If you want bark on the outside, then spritz with Apple or orange juice during the smoking phase.

Thank you for the help. I'm gonna give it a whirl. One more questions what do you mean wet oil towel. Towels soaked in olive oil?

I would lay thick bacon all over it after the initial cook...more rub...wrap in foil and let it go 4-6 more hours

Here is a pic of the whole set up. The outdoor kitchen isn't mine, my parents built it a few years ago but since it was Sunday family day my wife kids and all our friend decided to head over and have a BBQ today.

If that is a 20 lb feral hog I hope you brined it. Young has nothing to do with drying out and turning to leather.
Very nice looking cooker and yard. Very wise to throw a boston butt on there if you were having folks over. Some have good success cooking feral hog first time more don't.
It's hell eatin em live

I brined the pig for 36 hours before it saw the cooker. The pig turned out great. Here is the finished product
