I retired as a sales manager for a drug company. A guy from the home office came down to visit back in around 1975. He had come over from Hunts, the tomato company, and other stuff. He told me that tomato sauce was the same as tomato paste and two cans of water. I haven't bought tomato sauce since, but I think I can taste the difference. It seems to me that sauces cooked with the sauce taste a little more like tomato soup.
What do you think?
