Heaven gained a heck of a bird dog, the best co-pilot and truly my best friend Tuesday. For those that had the pleasure to hunt alongside her or simply be around her knew what a dang good dog she was. You truly blessed my life and were a joy everyday goober. Never complained when I made the wrong turn, didn't get cranky when I woke you up in the middle of your naps or missed that bird I was shooting at. I hope that I made your life half as wonderful as you made mine. You will be missed for a long time to come. Have a tennis ball ready for me up there, one day we will play again. Love you Nel

She was a beautiful girl, condolences
There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

Sorry for your loss; my Finn has been with me only 7 months, but he has become so much a part of our family I don't know what we'll do when that day ever comes. Again, so sorry for your loss!

Sorry for your loss. Its tough letting them go.
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

So sorry. Just lost my best friend 2 weeks ago at age 5 to sago posioning. Cody, a spinone had everything. He pointed, retrieved field and water. and for some reason he was so attached to me that he wanted to go with me everywhere. If I didnt take him he waited at the front window for hours till I returned. He was always there at the door when I got home with those alert eyes and tail wagging. I dont know if it was the breeed as he was the first spinone I owned but he was hands down the most loyal and affectionet dog I ever had. And I had beagles, Labs, Brits, English pointers and Short hairs. I have a hole in my life like you cant believe. Needless to say I am looking for another spinone .

I'm so sorry for your loss... it's gut wrenching losing your best friend... I'm sure she's up there with my Sadie playing frisbee with Peter just outside the Pearly Gates waiting for us.

Always a good read and sorry man for the loss I remember bringing you home. You were so small and cuddly with your tiny paws and soft fur.
You bounced around the room with eyes flashing and ears flopping. Once in awhile, you'd let out a little yelp just to let me know that this was your territory.
Making a mess of the house and chewing on everything in sight became a passion, and when I scolded you, you just put your head down and looked up at me with those innocent eyes, as if to say, "I'm sorry, but I'll do it again as soon as you're not watching."
As you got older, you protected me by looking out the window and barking at everyone who walked by. When I had a tough day at work, you would be waiting for me with your tail wagging, just to say, "Welcome home. I missed you." You never had a bad day and I could always count on you to be there for me.
When I sat down to read the paper and watch TV, you would hop on my lap, looking for attention. You never asked for anything more than to have me pat your head so you could go to sleep with your head over my leg.
As you got older, you moved around more slowly. Then, one day, old age finally took its toll and you couldn't stand on those wobbly legs anymore. I knelt down and patted you lying there, trying to make you young again. You just looked up at me as if to say that you were old and tired and that after all these years of not asking for anything, you had to ask me for one favor.
With tears in my eyes, I drove you one last time to the vet. One last time you were lying next to me. For some strange reason, you were able to stand up in the animal hospital; perhaps it was your sense of pride.
