One of my hunting buddies tried to create his account and the new system wouldn't recognize his SSN#. He entered his DL# and it found him but all of his loyalty(preference) are gone. The accounts only show ******* for SSNs and it won't let you change it.

I didn't have any problem with my account.
Anybody else have problems? I guess he will have to call TPWD.

Evidence of Identity Theft???

Ran into a lady at a retail store I used alot in The Colony - GoodyGoody ! LOL, who told me her son's ID had been stolen when my CC had a "Ck ID" notation on the back insted of a signature, and I had thanked her for asking for my ID to verify the card. I asked how they knew, and she said that there was a Hispanic name and Austin addy registered in TPW on a fishing license, when her son had lived in Denton for over 5 years, as a Tax Paying Homeowner.

Said they turned the info into Denton County SO and got no interest or followup & TPW would not respond either.

Might want to tell you buddy to check that out.

I had the same issue where my DL worked but my SSN didn't. In addition, it showed I had no preference points when I should have. I used the online contact form for TPWD. They contacted me and got everything squared away now. They had some issues merging data from their old system to the new one and some accounts ended up like your buddies and mine.

I'm glad they fixed your account. I'd hate for my friend to lose his points because it would hurt me too!
TPWD said they would look into his account but he hasn't heard anything back yet.
