I was told about this place by one of the guys in my HRC club and sent in the money without checking it out. I know he's had some luck with late season ducks but he didn't dove hunt it. How's the dove hunting and does it get crowded?

I'll see you out there:) sent him money last week and already got my passes and codes!
I think it won't be too crowded. With 10,000 acres and only 60 spots it should be fine.
I'll be after the ducks, yotes, and pigs there. I also will only hunt Monday Tuesday and Wednesday because those are my days off so it definitely won't be busy then

Got on as well after a few years being off it. I don't remember this in the past, but those with duck pass have access to places the straight dove guys don't. Never done the duck side before though. It will be crowded the first week, maybe the second as well, but will thin out.

I was on the lease 2006. And know many that have been on there. In regard to dove, I consider it to be 1 step up from public, but worth the money you pay. You need to scout, and when you find birds, yes it will be crowded open day, but not as bad as public. Yes it will get shot out after open weekend, but not as bad as public. When I was on the lease, you could shoot ducks, but many ponds were off limits I remember, I think now you can hunt them with the duck pass. I just read the website, it said they are sold out of the duck passes, that's good, that means they put a cap on it, and not just selling all they can to make money.

I tried early teal there on the opener for teal, my only duck hunt there. No ducks, but I shot a limit of cotton mouths. grin I did have one group of teal buz my spread.

Guy pretty well nailed it. I was on it in 08. Don't expect a top notch lease for the amount you pay. There were doves there, but it was really crowded. Due to not living in the area I wasn't able to scout, so ended up hunting a field that was supposed to be hot with everybody else. Wasn't too great. Hunters every 60 yards and warden came and checked us two different times. Did find a good field on the last day we were there. I would think that if you scouted a bit it would be hard to not find a solid field somewhere in that 10k acres.

I paid my money and went one weekend. I would imagine a lot of others did too. Not a bad deal in my opinion, just accept what you pay for.

Best I ever did out there was 5 or 6 doves, and I hunted it hard. Duck was awesome in 09, we were the only guys out there, and Verne heard us pounding em every weekend from his house. Next year they started the duck passes and it got real crowded, real fast. Tried to lease that one pond out from under him, but it didn't go anywhere.

My dog snores.

I hunted it one year I think around 09-10 and no duck pass was needed. We didn't see much for doves and the land was very hard to understand the boundaries. As for ducks we hunted a couple of times but that was all we could do because the few small tanks and the one large tank were impossible to get to due to heavy rain. The ground was so bad you could walk across the freshly tilled land without sinking. Just don't expect that you got a awesome private duck lease.

I was on it in either 2010 or 2011. There was a looooot of hunters. It was pretty crazy at times. Didn't see a ton of dove but there were definitely opportunities. Didn't duck hunt then but saw several good ponds. It's a good deal for what you pay. Better than public for sure.

This is my first year. We didn't make it out for the opener but went last Thursday for a quick sundown hunt. Only managed to get 3. Heading up again Friday and Saturday mornings, the latter for the teal opener.

Been shooting 5 or 6 each night this week. And I'm sure you found the same hole for duck that every one ealse did.

I was on the lease in 2006 as well. I limited on Dove about 5 times and limited on ducks several times. I found a "honey hole" that I never saw another soul hunt. I was sure to pick up all my trash and keep the wader tracks down to a minimum. I also called in over a dozen coyotes that year on a couple of the spots. Hunted geese a few times with a couple limits as well. I had a great year, but they made changes to how you can hunt it the next year and I did not renew.

Guy nailed it, it wasn't much better than public.

I got 10 doves opening day this year, but only two the following Saturday morning. About true to form compared to the previous three years.

I am not on the duck lease (have duck lease elsewhere), so cannot speak for it.

Shhhh.......lol
It's a sweet little spot. Don't tell anyone but I saw about 7 flocks of 15 geese fly over that spot when I was duck hunting.
Luckily for me, my days off are Monday and Tuesday so I get to hunt when hardly anyone else is.
I have one other little spot over there I may try for ducks.
And they told y'all you could hunt early teal season? I asked and I think he said no

For the $$$, lots of land. Hunting- mediocre at best-

Better off driving to west tx a few times and slaying them.

Knock on doors for private inside hr or so of metroplex.

Good duck lease 1000-1500 gun- in good flyway, etc
