Hi & 1st post..

I just got the Savage 11 in 2 weeks back.. cost was $430.

I really like 308 cal rifles.. had an AR10, Saiga 308, VEPR..

This is my 1st bolt-action rifle..

Added the Mueller APT 4.5-14x40 scope and a Weaver 20MOA base.

Its a sweet rifle, the Accu-Trigger is just over 3 lbs as set from the factory.

I zero'd it 2" high at 200 yards with Federal 168 OTM ammo. then went long.

500 (left) and 750 yards (right).

I like the fact it has iron sights for 200-600 yards.. and I tested at 250 yards and they worked fine prior to scope install.. darn cap hits the rear one.. just a screw and slid it off for now.

The stock is chinzy and I may upgrade to something better (thinking Boyds), but it will do for now..

Overall happy with it.. Got some Fed GMM SMK 175gr coming in.. going to push the 1000yd targets and see if we get anything on it..

A buddy (BP agent) got the Savage 10 FPSR model so we now have something to kinda compete with and help each other out with as well.

I have one of those nice little rifles. But use it to deer hunt with. Short and light weight.

Nice shooting! I just bought a model 11 varmint barrel in 22-250, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I am hoping it is the tack driver I expect it to be!

Agree about the chintzy stock, but the accutrigger is short, clean and breaks right under 3 lbs on mine (little light and may have to increase it) and the action isn't super duper tight, but neither is my .243 axis and it shoots lights out.

Got you a good gun and should be able to upgraded as needed!

I've been eyeing those. Anyone have anything negative to say except the stock isn't great?

It's a bit heavy. I wish they made it with a lighter contour barrel.

That is a great rifle. I shoot mine with subsonic ammo and a suppressor. It is sighted in at 120 yards and is great to shoot hogs with from a deer stand while hunting with my daughter....

Savages are great rifle right of the box! Accuracy is excellent for a cheap gun and I love the fact that you can rebarrel on your own to anything you wish!

Nice rifle, I've been researching to get a bolt action as well.
