So I ordered an Elite Energy 35 today. Left hand, black on black, 65# limbs and 29.5" draw. ETA 4-5 weeks. I sold my other Elite to fund this one. Now I'm going through bow withdraw. Oh well. Anybody here have one?

I thought about it, but I got a real good deal on a Pure and decided to go that way.

Congrats on the new rig!

How do you plan to fit it out?

I purposefully have not gone to shoot an E35. I've been shooting the GT-500 for the last few years, and with all the glowing reviews, I'm afraid that it may may wind up with a new bow.

Well when I sold my Elite Answer, I sold it bare bow. So I'll throw everything I had on it on the new bow. So that would be a sword third plane sight with 2" housing, 8" beestinger(hunter), qad hdx rest and a tree limb standard 5 arrow quiver...but I don't like it so it'll probably be replace with an elite quiver or a tight spot.

Oh heck no. You are getting a nice ride no doubt but why the long wait?

From what I have read on the Elite forums and archery talk Elite produced the right hand models first and have just recently got around to making the left hand versions. They supposedly began shipping about 3 weeks ago...I hope I get it by April.

I bought a 2013 Pure, when I found out I couldn't get a left handed E35. Kind of gets to me that they can't have both right and left handed bows out at the same time. Elite is kind of weird like that, I know it has to cost them some sales.

Yup its all about sales. Leftys only make up 5% of the market or something like that.

UPDATE: I ordered a left hand elite energy 35 on February 14th. Its been about 9 week and I'm still waiting. I did get a phone call yesterday from the bow shop saying my bow was in. I rushed up there and the guy says "I haven't even taken it out of the box" as he hands me the box. I pull the bow out and my heart broke as soon as I saw that it was a camo bow and I ordered a blacked out bow. Turns out they called the wrong left handed person!!! bang Now I'm all jacked up and excited again!!

I am left handed, wanted an Energy 35 when they came out. Was told I would have to wait to April or May. Walked out with a Pure, and I love it!!

Mathews or Bowtech are going to have to do something thing real special for me to even think of switching back. Right now all they are doing is rehashing the same stuff.

Glad it finally came in. I'm sure you will enjoy shooting it. That is a very long wait and I would definitely let Elite know that most of us find that "unimpressive" to say the least. That said if you keep it a few years and enjoy it then the wait may have been worth it.

I've only shot it maybe 10 times but it feels really good. I don't put all the blame on Elite, I think the dealer I purchased the bow from may have dropped the ball. Like I said in a previous post, my dealer called me about 2 months after ordering my bow telling me it was in and turns out it was a camo bow for another customer. I gave them 2 more months and finally went to see what the deal was last week. They called Elite and said that "looks like Elite let it get past them" which I have a hard time beliving and here it is 1 week later.

Beyond that horror story of a wait I'm very happy with the bow. I like the look and feel of the new texture they used and the bow was free of all dings and scratches. Can lean appears to be minimal. I've got it rigged with a sword 3rd plane sight, beestinger 10" stab, and a tree limb quiver(for now). It draws very smooth, the back wall is solid and let off is almost scary. I took it to my favorite bow shop in town and had them set up my peep and check my dw# and DL specs. DL measured exactly 29.5" at 66lbs. Gonna tune it this evening.

When I left CCR with mine it was tuned dead on. I checked it on paper there at the shop and at home. My Thunderheads hit true to my field points out to 40 yards. I enjoy shooting mine (E32) and I'm sure you will yours. Easy to shoot, although I won't lie, getting used to the nice valley and let off took a while, and accurate as well.

bought an elite energy 32 about 15 days ago, less than 50 arrows through it and the cam stoppage bolt fell off. minor i guess but when you drop $900 for a bow I am not happy that anything is going wrong right now. wouldn't buy another one, shop and manufacturer said to just put the bolt in and fix it myself and didn't offer much help. love the bow but wouldnt buy one again, would even get my money back if i could

That's 100% on your bow shop. That should of been tightened down when they set it up
