Looking to get a duck gun for next season because my pretty silver hunter just didn't like getting its self muddy and wet last year so it's going to be my dove gun now.
Plus I just want a new shotgun.
Love my Browning silver hunter... It's never let me down and will shoot the heck out of whatever I've put in it. That's why I'm sticking with Browning.
I thought I was set on the Maxus but seen some of you guys talk up the A5.
Which one would you go with? Pros and cons?

See which one fits you better.
I got the Maxus and have been really pleased. I wish it came in 20Ga.

I got the Maxus and have been really pleased. I wish it came in 20Ga. You can get he Winchester SX3 in a 20 gauge and it is the same gun as the Maxus! The Maxus has awesome recoil reduction and the A5 is inertia driven which will shoot more rounds between cleanings. But, do you really want to chance a good hunt by not cleaning your shotgun often??? Anyway, you will be hard pressed to find a better balanced semi auto shotgun than the A5 (the Benelli M2 and SBE 2 are the same).

Ill take gas over inertia all day long Why? Because you like cleaning guns? I have a beretta that has over 6k (probably alot more )shells through it, been cleaned three times in the 25years I've owned it.. My maxus has probably 1.5k been cleaned twice. Probably won't get cleaned for another 2k, since I figured out the Mobil one trick Yet my wifes benelli can't make it through three days hunting in panhandle due to the sand. Only normal maintance I do is oil down the outside of the beretta, oil my chokes and OU. maybe I just buy better quality.

Some people base their opinions solely off what they read on the internet.
They are the folks that traded their pos 870 for a sbe when they saw the cool ads.

I have the fake A5 and don't like it. Wish I had bought the maxis. Gas operated is the way to go in auto loader.

Gas guns require no more maintenance than any other Not the gas and inertia I been shooting last 6 years, gas requires a lot more cleaning.

I really like the look of the A5 but the Maxus is nice as well. MSRP on them is pretty close.
The thing I love the most about my Silver Hunter is that it shoots every thing I've put in it from the cheapest dove loads to some higher end 3 in duck loads and turkey loads. It's never once jammed or given me any problems going on close to 8 years with minimal cleaning.
I was leaning heavy toward the Maxus but there's something about that A5 that I like. If I was positive I could get the same reliability out of the A5 I would really consider it.
Still leaning toward the Maxus just because it's more like my Silver hunter..... But man that A5 looks sweet! Wish I could get both
