I work at the best country club in the DFW area willing to trade a round of golf for a turkey hunt near the metro.

Swampy, I could have some interest, what club are you at? My 70 acres which is chalk full of turkey is in SW Young county near Murray. I've posted on here before pictures over the years of the turks.

Lol! Was the public hunt a bit too humbling for you to bare?

Yes, really. You said texas hunting is new to you. You cant shoot birds thru fences on private, either. I dont know your rules in Nebraska.

Dang pigpen! Why don't you cut this guy some slack? Every time he post there you are with your negative vibes.
Born to hunt and fish.

It's cool man I don't mind the negativity. I know a couple pictures will silence the doubters. Just have to make time to get out there first!

Um, I was cussed so not sure why you jumpin on me. I offered up advice. The whole calling thing on public before season is really no different then trying to rattle up a buck before season. How many birds that didnt gobble while u were calling were standing there off in the brush standing there watching you? Doesnt take much pressure for public birds to shutdown and change routines and keep to private. Hope you get a bird. Its quite a bit different than public land in nebraska. More birds per sqr mi and much less hunting pressure in ur home state. Watch out for tornados wed-thur and be safe
