I took my Soldiers out to the Korean War Museum and memorial in downtown Seoul today for a Team Building event. This is the Army's way of getting us an opportunity to explore our host nation and learn a little about their contributions towards our own conflicts outside of Korea. The museum abuts the US Army's main garrison in Seoul, Yongsan, which is slated to be closed and the commands moved south to Camp Humphreys near Pyongtaek sometime in the near future. The weather was much improved and allowed me to get quite a few shots that the clouds would normally have obscured. It is impressive to see the lengths that this country goes to constantly show signs of thanks to the US and other UN nations that came to its aid during the 1950-1953 war.

Very cool pics..I had the pleasure of working with the ROK division in Vietnam. We can only hope that other countries that we help get on their feet turn out as well as Korea has. Also... when I was wounded and evacked to Camp Zama Japan I was surprised to find out they had a ward full of GI's wounded in Korea....it was as large as the VN ward!

Billybob, just for you

Thanks Pitchfork, here's a good view of the entrance to the park. The bronze cast is that of a bullet with the statues on either side depicting the Korean Soldiers and civilians.

Great pics. My grandfather was a navigator on a bomber in Korea, so this is very interesting to see.
