I like hunting them during the day while they are sleeping. Spot and stalk you can sneak right up on them if the wind is right. If you have a breezy day or the ground is wet it will help mask sounds from your feet.
Listen for the little pigs making noise and movement in the brush piles.
On a warm day they will usually be close to water or under heavy brushed areas.
Remember pigs are sleeping, eating, or moving to water or food.
They will start stirring around before sunset moving to food.
You can always corn some of the trails you find and sit back a bit and see what comes in.
Good Luck

Mine came just after sunset. Early evening to midnight, and sunup seem to be when they are most active. Remember they are a mostly nocturnal animal. So stalking the woods during the day is a good idea to try to get close to some, but night hunting is where it's at.

Your success rate goes WAY up once you have given yourself the capability to go after them instead of trying to get them to come to you.

I have good luck working around water and shade during the summer months.

Get some corn on the cob, soak it in a 5 gal. bucket with a cup of sugar and fill with water till coverred, leave for a week. Do not open it up. It will reek, like nothing else. Pour it out in your hunting area out 50 to 78 yds. Come back later. Bang! Bang! JS
