From what I have heard lots of deer just very few big ones. This is not from experience just what I have heard. Good luck to you.
If I put my wife in a high fence will her rack get bigger?

I had a ranch there and still have friends down that way. Allot more deer down West of Evant and N of Stephenville IMO.
I wouldn't say there are "lots" of deer, even go so far to say way below carrying capacity, but I do know there are some truly nice deer taken every couple of years. Quite a few turkey if you're in the right place as well.

Can really vary from one property to another. Lots of small properties so depends a lot on what type of neighbors you have and how they hunt. Has very good potential if managed properly.

Pitchfork summed it up nicely. We hunt north of Hico in Erath near Cedar point. Definitely under CC where we are. It gets better every year however. Some darn good bucks are killed every year around there.

Depends on where you are at. There is deer in that area, some areas have higher numbers of course. Best way to tell what you got is to get the cameras out and keep them going.

Everytime you pass the Koffee Kup stop and get a Black Forest pie to go... Never had their pie but I never will. I stopped in there one day with my wife and we were treated extrememly rude by their staff. We got there about 30 minutes before they closed and it was packed. The waitress was rude from the get go. We ordered our food and it took about 30 minutes to come out. My wife had ordered chicken fried chicken and they brought her a chiken sandwich. When we asked them to bring her the CFC she just said "sorry, kitchens closed." We got up and left. .... But, there is a great little mexican place (cant think of its name) right south of the Koffe Cup on 6 that we stop at all the time. Wonderful food .

There is a lot of the 120 type deer. I have hunted north of there and if you have good neighbors there is a chance you will get a 150's. There seem to be quite a few hogs though.

Hogslayer, that sure isn't typical?? Lynn Allen was the owner (been awhile) if you pass through let him know, he WILL take care of you. Just dont loose out because of one grumpy broad. I agree on the "Mexican grill" joint as well, great food, reasonably priced, do they still have the bar up top?

I work in Hico, there are some really good spots with great hunting, saw 8 deer going into town this morning including a really nice buck. Lynn Allen is half owner of the koffee kup now, mrs. Leach is his partner. Lily's is the mexican place and it still has the bar.
