I have about 20 days hunting whitetails in 4 different states, I have only taken 1 doe. One of those years. Going to try Oklahoma one last time maybe the few 135-150 type bucks I've had now and then on camera have showed up late to corn. Will get everything set up again for hogs rest of year.

Good luck. Hope the mature bucks are on their feet and hungry.

Hunted in central OK at least 20 days since archery opened Oct 01. Same story. Had bucks all coming in at night. Then it was like everything disappeared for three weeks. It was very weird. Thought it was just our place but talking to others it was the same all over. Very tough season in OK. Thank goodness I got to go to Kansas and bag a nice muley. Was just about to give up all hope this year.

Welcome back to OK. Hope you have a good hunt and get a bruiser!

So nothing great to report. I hadn't been in a month, I could have hunted each of my 4 stands all daylight hours the last month and not taken a shooter (130+). smile Even the hogs have disappeared and they're always around. Even those frozen days with snow on the ground there especially wasn't any movement.

I filled the feeders, opened panels in the hog pen, downloaded the pics, and changed feeder times to be March friendly for hog hunting.

I was pretty down, especially after 3 hours of nothing moving. Finally 10 minutes before end of shooting a mature doe moved cautiously to the feeder. Wind was only 2-4 mph and she was jumpy, she was looking away from me and just moving my hands out of the muff caused her to spook around. She finally walked off nervously and 3 other does I hadn't seen in the decreasing light followed her. I then looked up 50 yards to see antlers. even though binoculars where on my chest and I just had to raise a foot to my eyes it caused the buck to just lazer eye me. He just stared me down all the way to end of shooting. Just a 100" 8, but after the way day started nice to finish season seeing something.
