Last picture is of "The Big 6" Coach Roberts on the left, Mr. Ready on the right. This was an emotional hunt for me. My dad being in the stand during the hunt. It had been 20 years since he had seen me hunt. Mr. Ready guiding us. As I set in the stand I reflected on Tyson's hunt 2 years prior. The excitement he had in harvesting his personal best. What hunting is about.....the outdoors, friends, family,..........memories *Check out Tyson's video www.tysondever.com

2 years ago he was a legitimate 125 (6 pointer). Prior to hunting, Coach thought he would score 130 as a now 7 pointer. Definitely renamed "The Big 7." I have the utmost respect for this animal. He was rarely seen, nocturnal, tough as they come....

Special animal indeed. Thanks for the compliments.
Deer was measured at Muy Grande Deer Contest.
A 111 4/8 inch deer was leading the "slick 7" category.

Did not realize how big he was until Mr. Garza started taking measurements.

21 2/8 in. inside spread
25 in. main beams
25+ in. mass
g1 left 8 5/8 in.
g1 right 9 7/8 in.
g2 left 9 6/8 in.
g2 right 8 5/8 in.
g3 right 5 in.

A deer of a lifetime!

That's as impressive as his horns, maybe even more so.

Really old bucks are true trophies, regardless of horn size.

Congratulations!

Bill

I know Ray and Tommy. I have a ranch with Tommy's cousin down the road from them. I have a picture on my phone of that deer as well. Helluva a deer.
