No limits but not a bad couple mornings on private east of Austin. Considering getting the merganser mounted any suggestions/opinions?

Just got my hoodie back last week from Pat at Avian Arts. Kind of crappy cell phone pic, but it is beautiful. The guy is a true artist!

All very beautiful mounts! Took the girlfriend out yesterday morning to brave the rain and cold but we had a great hunt! between the two of us we killed 4 more hooded, a few gaddies a mallard and a wigeon. Getting one of the merg drakes mounted as well as this wigeon drake she took! On the way out I was telling her how much I wanted a wigeon to mount and she took down the first one we've seen all season! So proud of her!!!

Also, were gonna go against every piece of advice I have received and try to eat the rest of those mergansers.. Can't justify killing them without giving it a shot! If it doesn't work out Maverick will be in for a nice treat!

I don't know much, but for future reference, I wouldn't hold ducks you plan on mounting by the neck. Might make a taxidermist's job harder by messing up the fragile neck feathers.
