I am looking into these scopes for a rifle I'm trying to finish up. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I've read a few reviews but not to much info out there yet. Any help would be appreciated. Looking at the 3-18x44 side focus with CDS dial.

Ran the 2-12 and it was very nice. Glass is not quite up to the alpha glass but it was better than say a Zeiss Conquest.

I really like the Mark IV Leupold all of them are clear. I have a 8.5x25 Ill with Mildots and its great. Most times hunting I just leave it on 8.5. It has an open spot at very Ctr of the hairs. At long range a head fits in it.

Hi P&Y,

I recently received my first VX-6 with 3-18X power and the 50mm objective lense. Mine has the FireDot Duplex reticle.

It is a wonderful optic in my view. I have some NightForce scopes and they are excellent, too, but I really like this new Leupold product.

On low power, close in shots are easy to see and cranked up to 18 it works great to print groups at 100 yards and beyond.

I think Leupold has really delivered with this new model and recommend it without reservation.

Good Luck and Good Hunting,

Gadget Bob

i was interested in these before I bought a zeiss hd5. What turned me against them was when I emailed Leupold about where the vx6 class in made. Their answer "Europe or pacific rim". But wouldn't say where for sure.

Thank y'all for the info!

I think I am going to go ahead and try one out. Haven't looked through one yet, but it's hard to tell much in a store anyways. For what you are getting, it seems like a good value. Based on my past dealings with leupolds CS, regardless of where it is made, they will stand behind it.

I'm confident once you try it, you'll have an "optic buddy" for a long time P&Y!

Happy Thanksgiving,

I currently have 2 of the VX-6 2-12 illuminated models and did have a 3-18x50 illuminated model. Only reason I sold the 3-18 is I felt it was too much for the rifle it was on and opted for a 2nd 2-12. These are the best scopes that Leupold has come out with IMO. They are clear and crisp with excellent an excellent field of view. The illumination feature works very well and all of them that I've looked through had them centered on the reticle.

I've also had the chance to look over the 4-24x52 and it also looks to be a very well made optic. I'm sure in due time I'll find something that can use a 4-24.

I have a mk4 lrt, a mk4 pr, vxII, vxIII and a vx6 multigun edition scope. I can say hands down that the vx6 is the clearest/cleanest leupold scope I've looked through. I believe the clarity is on par with much more expensive scopes.
