we have hunted a few times so far with only marginal success. some guys were absolutely pounding them Thursday morning to our southwest though. this particular property is north of Westin..
anyone else seeing birds yet? we are only killing 2-4 each trip so far.
We ar going to hit one of our spots near Texoma tomorrow morning. hopefully we can find some birds.

Shot a limit on my tank just to the north of you on Sunday. Saw more birds that day than my previous 3 hunts combined. Saw 100+ this morning driving to work in McKinney too. Heading out in the morning.....

We hunted our place just east if haggerman this morning. Saw 65-70 birds. Only had a few commit to the decoys though. Shot all of them but no where near our limits. Saw several Canadians as well.
We drove through haggerman after our hunt to see what was down there. I was amazed at how few ducks were there. We usually see over a thousand on any given morning that are milling around in the refuge. This concurs that they aren't down here in numbers yet like they were last year. Hopefully we can get some good freezes up north to convince them to migrate. I am sure there are pockets of them around here but it will only get better. It seems to me at least that we are running a couple weeks behind.

They should be coming your way. I saw zero Widgeon this morning and very few Gadwall and Pintails. The Teal have been gone for a month. Kansas has got to be loaded to the bream. Of course my buddies tell me that the Dakota's still have lots of birds (mostly, the east side).
